CLOSED, and per phone conversation with owner, it will not be reopening - operations have "moved" to the Concord location. As for the police car, this is standard practice in the small communities where there are more vehicle assets than there are live police bodies. They are often staged in strategic locations to discourage criminal activity overnight, and in this instance, it is staged very intentionally to send a message to the monger community - "We don't want you in Orinda!". Orinda, like Lafayette, has a strong NIMBY contingent and they are increasingly moralistic, so you should not expect to see any new jack shacks opening up anytime soon. For what it is worth [@Gallstone7] there is no intel you have which is worth sharing with the community. Oh, yes, I set up this user ID just to clear up a couple of points and to be sure that I'm not getting forever "flamed" by the usual keyboard warriors.

I have enjoyed this spot the 4 times Ive been. It is especially clutch when you can park in this small lot right next to where the stores on the right of this strip begins because there's a lot of wealthy folks watching who goes in.
