Is Racism Limited Only to the NBA?

As the National Basketball Association continues to deal with the ongoing Donald Sterling issue regarding perceived racism and his private phone conversation, the kind folks at RubMaps.com would like to point out that in the massage parlor community; members of all ethnicities are discriminated against, on a daily basis. Here are some common reasons why masseuses (primarily Asian and Latina) discriminate against each ethnicity (as gathered over 100,000 reviews at more than 14,000 United States based massage parlors).

Against Black men.

Besides the might-be-true stereotype that African-American males pack the âmost heatâ out of all the ethnicities on the planet, some masseuses speculate that they wonât serve African-American males due to tipping issues, violent tendencies and lack of the âunknown.â In most parts of Asia, excluding Japan and the Philippines, African-Americans are unfortunately the targets of common discrimination. Here is an article from last month where a gang of African-American males robbed a Dallas massage parlor.

Against Latino men.

Probably similarly to the African-Americans, Latino-American males are assumed to have almost as much âheatâ as their African-American counterparts. They also are rejected by some masseuses due to the perception that they might try to rob the establishment or force themselves upon the masseuses. Here is an article in New York from a few years back where a massage parlor was robbed.

Against White men/Asian men

White and Asian men arenât typically rejected away from massage parlors. Korean men might be rejected from a massage parlor, if it is a Korean establishment. Most Korean providers donât want to be providing service to someone that might be from their congregation. White men actually might be rejected from a massage parlor if they look like this guy.

I was at one AMP and the girl taking care of me was very talkative. She told me that there was only one Black man that came there, but that he didn't visit any more. She held up her arm...pointing to her forearm and said "He too big. Couldn't get it all the way in my pussy." She said that there were a few Asian men that visited but that most of their business was from older, White males. She did insinuate that White men were more generous with their money while the few Asian men that visited thought that they shouldn't really have to tip because of their being Asian.

@Brooklyn - best comment on the board. Real racism is actually rare. There is ample prejudice and bigotry practiced by all groups. Im not more intelligent than the next guy. I deal with avoiding labels, judgments, or bigoted opinions, by making it a point to try and treat all people well, and with kindness. That way I know Im doing what Im supposed to do. My experiences, have displayed to me, that most prejudice or bigoted behavior comes from lower socioeconomic and educational backgrounds. Sorry, but that's just what I have seen. Still, I treat those people well, why not, it must really suck to hold angry thoughts like that.

This is the sorriest post I have ever responded to in this category "MOST RACIST AMP". (and on RB, I made thousands of posts). I only went back to Jan 2014, for one reason only, mainly being that RA's usually don't change much service wise in a year, and I wanted to see if the percentage of BAD reviews warrented each site to be on this list. Where I go in California (Inland Empire) There are a couple of providers that had photo print outs from a video security camera posted. I had glanced at one place thinking nothing about it, but when I saw the same photos at another place I asked about it. They said one was a robbery and another was a robbery/rape at some provider's place in the area. Both men were black, one was slim and the other was heavy, both around 6'. The images were not photo perfect (a little blurred being from video) she said most of the places around the area had these photos. Any Black Men around 6' slim or heavy wasn't getting in, and since the photos were not good quality you can pretty much figure on no black men getting in.

I know girls might change their attitude by looking at your skin color, and I don't deny there are some racism in parlors like places above. But let me suggest one thing, and this is much bigger effect than different skin color. IMPROVE YOUR LOOK. What I mean by that is your clothes and style need to be brush up depend on where you go. You don't need tuxedo for HE place, but are you wearing clean shirt with collar when you go to the place? Make sure that you don't wear buggy pants like gangsta hiphop fashion? Did you shave your lousy beard? Are you sweating and smell funny? It's not only about clothing but just give a bit of attention to how you walk and talk. If you are walking into the place like gangsta walking style (i don't know how to call it), of course they will raise the red flag. Unfortunatelly, many of my friends natually walk like that and it's ok when you hanging out with buddys at a bar or something... But imagine when you going to a place where Asian chicks barly speak English (probably they don't have Ph.D in Sociology or American History), just for a few seconds after getting through the door, straight up your chin and put hands out of your pocket... and smile! After I learn this technique, people treat me without any issues in bank, hotel, casino and parlor. If you still get the problem, sorry, this type of place in your area might not good for you. Erotic massage parlor is not type of place like run by government. They are run by folks who has to take risks too as you see many places open / close everyday.

unfortunately for me ive experienced this racism at a couple of parlors here in san diego. Im mixed but identify mostly with black and one of the places i used to goto told me to come back later when there were no cars in the parking lot. Another place said everyone was busy and then I watched a white guy walk in literally 3 minutes after me to get serviced. For me its not a big deal because I can always go somewhere else but I find it funny that people still judge off someones skin color.

I'd like to speak up for Green Sauna. I'm black and went there. Had a good experience and lots of conversation. Felt cheated with less than an hour, but that happens sometimes. I did not experience "racism". Matter of fact my masseuse talked about her fantasies with black men and the local scoop. I think they are getting a bum rap being called the most racist AMP in the country. Guy had a bad experience with someone who didn't like him. In my experience (I'm black), after visiting all over the world (including Asia i.e. China, Japan etc.) there is a stereotype. In China if you are black don't expect anything period I would honestly say. Money was not even a factor when trying to negotiate. Back here in the states I was asked please be nice and don't hurt the girl from the MMS. I told her I'm not that type of person, but that is just my personal experience.

In my experience (I am black), Backpage escorts who exclude blacks are not racist, but prejudice. They pre-judge and excluded based on the analysis of their prejudgment. Many of them (especially the black escorts who exclude blacks) have black pimps who don't want to be shown up by educated black men, or other black men who are potential pimps. Non black escorts either have heard of, or have actually had bad experience with black clients at a higher percentage. Still some feel they can move things along easier (read: with less effort on their part) with clients who won't be so sexually demanding. How do I know what I've mentioned here? In all my years of mongering (MPs, and whores of levels), I've never had problems with Asian massage parlous turning me away, or being rude. I've been denied by Asian escort services, but not MPs.

Denying service due to crime statistics or stereotypes is racist, though it's certainly far from the worst instance of racism a person can experience. If I own or work at a restaurant in a major city and I choose not to serve some ethnic groups because most armed robberies in my city are committed by the race/s I exclude, it's still discrimination. Any race of people can be racist, even against their own race, so some Asian RAs might discriminate against Asian clients or specific Asian nationalities and some Black call girls won't service Black men. Sucks for the good mongers, but there's usually another parlor not too far away that would be happy to take your money. For most women in this industry, I think the only color that matters is green.

The whole Sterling reaction is in part due to the unfair and odd structure of the NBA and all sports teams. The NBA especially. When players are not called employees and the head of the business is called "the owner" and most of these "contracted" men are black it smacks of slavery issues.... Well, that is just a recipe for disaster with a poor choice of words here or there. I think Donald was wrong for what he said, but it was a private conversation. It was as someone wrote a comment made to his "girl friend", the media had a chance to solve some problems instead it was a media circus and status quo remains. Sure he was banned but big deal, he still is making more money a month than most of us will see in our lives. I would have preferred to see a boycott and his organization go down in financial flames! brooklyn4 has some great points. Racism still exists and thrives in many places, but it doesn't mean we have to ignore it and just think "that's the way it is". Yes, it's not as "bad" as many years ago, but people that do still have this way of thinking are simply uneducated and ignorant. I do feel that racist comments are horrible and there should be some sort of filter by any site, not just this one. But people do have the freedom of speech, and that is another aspect we cannot ignore. No matter what anyone thinks, this country allows them to express it verbally. On that note, I don't think it would be fair to filter comments due to racial bias. If they are degrading and use profanity, then that is a different story.

I think if they were racist they would have multiple reviews about people of differnt races being turned down. We don't know the full story behind these reviews. Maybe they were mean, dirty, rubbed the provider the wrong way, looked like LEO, and just because they were of a differnt race they say it was racist. Many Chinese providers have told me they prefer not to have Chinese clients. They will take them because that is a customer, but they are not interested in going the extra mile for them. A couple of providers told me they often yell and get very demanding. I've bumped into a few black guys in the spas recently. Granted they were all well dressed, professional looking guys. I think that stereotype depends on the provider/owner. I've been to spas where the same well dressed, professional looking man is told that the spa is busy.

I have another concern- about racism toward Asian masseuses. Many of the reviews and comments posted contain clearly racist and demeaning remarks about Asian women. We should not tolerate this in each other. Therefore, I strongly encourage those of you prone to make racist remarks to clean up your acts.
