With the NFL football season in full swing, there are two big things that occupy my brain.  Those two things of course would be massage parlors and football.  You would have to think that football players and massages go hand in hand.  After a long day of punishing tackles and wind sprints, it would be very easy to see your average football player heading over to the Gold Spa for some rest and relaxation.  A deep tissue massage to work out those tired back and shoulder muscles. Maybe a little head and temple massage from all the hard and maybe illegal hits to the head.   Then her hands roam a bit further down to work the glutes. And finally the ever so light accidental graze of the inner thighs to wake up junior for some potential fun.

I know, I know, you have read this scenario 1,999 times, but imagine a Cam Newton or Odell Beckham Jr. at the local rub and tug.  I thought that this would happen more often than not, but after scanning the interwebs for massage parlors and NFL players, only one story came up. 

It was the story of Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice most prominently of the San Francisco 49ers. As the story went way back when, Jerry was sore one day and was told by some buddies to check out this massage parlor that would take care of his issues.  So, believing his buddies, Jerry headed over to a parlor that was well known for providing extras. 

As it so happened, the police raided the parlor at the time Mr. Rice was “luckily” in the bathroom. Workers were arrested, but Jerry was able to get away unscathed because his bladder needed to be emptied. 

I guess we will never know if he actually got some service or if the police officers recognized Jerry and let him go.  But it does bring up an interesting topic.
